We offer a short free gin tour in Essex on Saturdays, if you’d like to visit us and experience how we make our Essex gin.
We’ll show you around, introduce you to our botanicals, processes and of course Monty the still. Of course there will be some free gin tasting too.
If you have any special requirements do just let us know. We are dog friendly and have access for wheelchairs.

James W04/08/2024Retirement gift My wife recently retired and was given this visit to the distillery as a retirement gift. To be honest I didn’t hold out much hope for the visit and was wondering how they were going to make it interesting. HOW WRONG WAS I! This was a fantastic visit with information about the whole process in abundance. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, to cap it all my wife came away with a bottle of gin that she had crafted and distilled herself. Absolutely marvellous.Verified
Liz W07/07/2024Gin tour and tasting on a rainy afternoon! We spent a very pleasant hour and a half learning about making gin then tasting it! What’s not to like! Nicole and Simon explained the process clearly and introduced us to Monty. I didn’t realise that making gin is such an exact science. We tasted several different gins and gin liqueurs and realised the importance of using the right mixer. The gins were all delicious, I could’ve bought several but we came away with a bottle of Tide’s Fortune and Hedgerows Gin Liqueur. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and tasting. Peter H16/06/2024Wow! Please do book and visit this amazing local distillery! This is a local small distillery which creates Gins and liquors from local produce and botanicals. The tasting session is free and very informative with a perfect mix of technical details and tasting suggestions. No pressure to buy but I did as I wanted to carry on the tasting at home and support this amazing local business. I highly recommend you book a free tasting and try these wonderful locally make spirits. The most important thing is ....the gin is as good as I have ever tasted. Boatinggranddad15/06/2024An interesting hour or so Small gin distillery with keen owners who make you feel so welcome. They give an extremely interesting chat and are keen to answer all questions about the equipment and the contents of the aromatics that are distilled into the product. The gin also is very tasty. Interestingly they do classes on making your own gin in a small still on occasion but this has to be booked previously. Apart from the one doorstep the place is completely accessible.Verified

Being able to sample the gin is an added bonus for when you are selecting what bottle, or most likely bottles, you will buy! We stopped for a drink after which was lovely to have that option. The passion the whole team has shines through. The first time I tired Gin. On the tour we learned about the ingredients & tasted some of the Gins distilled on the premises. It was a very enjoyable & interesting tour. Would like to take our friends with us for another tour & purchase some more Gin while we are in the area.
