We offer a short free gin tour in Essex on Saturdays, if you’d like to visit us and experience how we make our Essex gin.
We’ll show you around, introduce you to our botanicals, processes and of course Monty the still. Of course there will be some free gin tasting too.

A brilliant way to spend a couple of hours Outstanding experience. The first time I tired Gin. On the tour we learned about the ingredients & tasted some of the Gins distilled on the premises. It was a very enjoyable & interesting tour. Would like to take our friends with us for another tour & purchase some more Gin while we are in the area.

Fantastic and fun gin tour and tasting We had a fantastic time at the gin tour and tasting. Ben was really knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly. The tour was interesting and funny too. We got to sample lots of different gins. I'd highly recommend!

Great Distillery Great little distillery, had a tour on the Saturday, where the process was fully described in a great humorous environment. Tastings were given at the end and opportunity to purchase, great Gin, worth a visit.

Wonderful informative tour. Wonderful informative tour. What a great little tour, very friendly and informative. My husband isn’t a gin drinker but I love gin, he really enjoyed the tasting though. We will definitely be buying East Coast Gin in the future and trying to get our local community pub to stock up on it. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

Well worth a visit. Great way to spend a couple of hours. Informative informal talk from Nicole and Simon on the making of their gin with all local ingredients and the added bonus of a tasting session after. Will definitely go back again.

Clacton Labour Party Social 2024 We visited here for our CLP social and we had a great afternoon learning all about gin and tasting several too!!! Thoroughly recommend a visit and there are some great products to purchase as a little reminder to take home and continue the tasting!!!! Thank you xx

Review of visit We enjoyed the enthusiastic explanation of the whole gin and gin liqueur manufacturing process and the use of local ingredients and particularly the Tides Fortune Essex dry gin !

Excellent Tour We were in the area & had a few hours to kill, The East Coast Distillery Tour fitted the bill perfectly. The owners explained to process in relatively simple terms for all to understand. The use of locally foraged ingredients & their ethos to waste next to nothing is inspiring. The gin tastings & the mixer pairing suggestions were perfect. We left with several bottles of gins & mixers & continued to “sample” throughout our day! Excellent!

Well worth a visit Our first visit to a gin distillery and it didn't disappoint. Went by train with friends and had lunch in the Bell which was excellent. The tour was very informative and we tried a number of gins with explanations and no obligation to buy (although we did!) Highly recommended.
