Located in Landermere, on the beautiful Walton Backwaters, East Coast Distillery creates gins that are a celebration of the natural world of the east coast, the nautical history of the area and the people that have made this place their home. Our Tide’s Fortune gins are exactly that – a bottled distillation of the good fortune the tide brings in the natural ingredients that are freshly foraged for each new batch of gin. Distilled in small batches using our uniquely-designed still, affectionately known as Monty, each of our gins are infused with the flavours of the east coast, collected from our natural surroundings perhaps just hours earlier.
Discover more of our gins below to taste the delicious blends of Sea Buckthorn or Sea Purslane that have fascinated and excited botanists for centuries. Or why not join us for a gin tour to experience the natural delights and unique flavours the east coast has to offer? This ever-changing tidal estuarine saltmarsh between Harwich and Walton is an inspiration every day, whether at its most tranquil and becalmed or at its most wild and foreboding. It is our home, and when it comes to East Coast Distillery’s gins, our home is definitely where our heart is.
Delight in the flavours of the east coast
The Distiller’s Cut is East Coast Distillery’s limited-edition Afternoon Tea gin, blended to be synonymous with those moments when life can move a little slower.
This is a liqueur with notes of black tea, hibiscus, rose petals, raspberries and strawberries, delivering a truly delicious jammy flavour – well what else for
Sweet moments to remember
Elegant and sophisticated, East Coast Distillery’s Tide’s Fortune is a crisp and classic gin that sparkles with the juniper flavours that lure any gin lover.
This blend boasts a fragrant juniper nose and citrus piquancy, moving into a warming anise flavour and a long, lingering smokiness on the palate.
Classic and contemporary taste
Just like Tide’s Fortune Essex Dry, East Coast Distillery’s Elder Pear Dry is a classic London dry gin, which makes the most of locally-sourced and foraged botanicals.
Botanicals include foraged alexanders and dried elderflower, which are vapour infused during the process, to accent the natural sweetness of roasted pears.

“What amazing service! I emailed last night with an enquiry to which I received a reply first thing this morning, I placed my order and it was hand delivered the same day! Beautifully wrapped together with a hand written note, what a lovely personal touch. If you are looking for a present for a gin lover I would highly recommend – I will definitely order again…”
